Samples and Drawing Documents: Applying for a China Ex Certificate requires the submission of product samples and complete design drawing documents. This will be relatively easy if you are the designer or manufacturer; additional efforts may be needed to prepare these documents if you are the purchaser or user.
Certification Acquisition Cycle: Confirm whether expedited processing is required and if there is a target date for obtaining the certificate.
Required Documents:

Application Process:

(4) STS will conduct a technical evaluation of your product to ensure that the product and its drawings meet the requirements of explosion-proof standards.
(5) Arrange sample delivery for testing or on-site testing.
(6) Issue the explosion-proof test report and draft certificate.
(7) Grant the official China Ex Certificate.
In addition, for the application of a complete machine China Ex Certificate, all electrical components of the whole machine are required to be purchased and installed with explosion-proof certified components. For example, solenoid valves, control buttons, control cabinets and various sensors on the equipment must all have valid China Ex Certificates, and the installation method of each component must comply with the requirements of GB/T 3836.15-2017 Explosive atmospheres - Part 15: Design, selection and installation of electrical installations.
