CCC certification is also known as "China Compulsory Certification" in English, abbreviated as CCC. It is a product qualification assessment system implemented in accordance with laws and regulations in China to protect consumer personal safety and national security, strengthen product quality management.
Starting from October 1, 2019, explosion-proof electrical products are included in the scope of CCC certification management; Starting from October 1st, 2020, it will be enforced compulsorily; Products belonging to the explosion-proof CCC catalog must obtain the corresponding explosion-proof CCC certificate. The certification process includes type inspection, initial factory inspection, and post certification supervision.
1Type inspection:Enterprises design products that meet explosion-proof requirements based on their own functions and in combination with GB3836 or GB12476 standards. Explosion proof types can be intrinsic safety, explosion-proof, increased safety, or a combination of multiple explosion-proof types. The sample requirements are to be sent to CCC designated laboratories for testing according to different certification units and types.
2Initial factory inspection:After passing the type inspection, the certification body generally requires the enterprise to undergo factory inspection within three months. The main purpose is to conduct on-site inspections and evaluations to determine whether the production quality assurance capability and product consistency control capability meet certification requirements.
3Supervision after certification:The supervision content after obtaining the certificate includes tracking inspection and monitoring of ozone testing (sampling and testing or inspection at the production site). Based on the classification results and actual situation of the production enterprise, the supervision content after obtaining the certificate can be a combination of one or both.
2、 Explosion proofCCCDivision of authentication units
It refers to one or a series of products with the same or similar certification characteristics that can be evaluated for compliance based on the same standard. Products from the same certification unit can only be placed on one CCC certificate. It is what we usually understand as applying in series, such as a motor with the same center height, a distribution box with the same explosion-proof shell, etc. The certification unit determines the unified characteristics of the product, which are closely related to the certification cost and complexity.
3、 Explosion proofCCCSample submission requirements for certification
1Explosion proof type“d”Principle of sample delivery:
(1) Send samples by product category, and send samples separately for different product categories;
(2) Different explosion-proof structures and safety parameters, such as different external sizes (motors according to center height or power one large and one small), shell materials, product specifications (not applicable to motors), etc., should be sampled separately.
(3) Sample quantity: 1 metal shell sample, 1 empty shell sample; The sample quantity of non-metallic components of the motor should meet the standard requirements.
2Increased safety type“e”Principle of sample delivery:
(1) Send samples by product category, and send samples separately for different product categories;
(2) Different explosion-proof structures and safety parameters, such as different external sizes (motors according to center height or power one large and one small), shell materials, product specifications (not applicable to motors), etc., should be sampled separately.
(3) Sample quantity: 1 sample of metal shell, 2 samples of non-metal shell; Three resistance heating elements and resistance heater products are required, and four samples are needed for the chemical resistance test of Class I electrical equipment.
3Inherent safety type“i”Principle of sample delivery:
(1) Send samples by product category, and send samples separately for different product categories;
(2) Different explosion-proof structures and safety parameters, such as different external sizes, shell materials, product specifications, etc., should be sampled separately.
(3) Sample quantity: 2 complete samples. If it is a battery powered product, an additional 10 sets of batteries need to be sent as samples;
